“Thought For Today”

When you feel you are away from

God...remember who moved.

We have moved!

Hebrews 13:8

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

Until Next Time……

Sincerely,

Nataly Russell

Devotion: Part 3- What We Need To Wear To The War — Section 2

Part 3 Section 2: Winners and Losers There are two sections to Part 3. Satan Hates Integrity  The Girdle of Truth  (Eph.6:14) In understanding how integrity can help us defeat Satan, it will be helpful to look at some people in the Bible who were victorious because they put on the girdle of truth. We will also look at others who were defeated because they did not have it on. We will see from their example why the girdle of truth is so important on the battlefield. The first war in the Bible is found in Genesis 14. Abraham became involved in that war because Lot, his nephew, had been captured by the opposing army. Abraham won the war and delivered Lot, but why was Lot captured in the first place? Why was he found in the wrong camp? Because he was double-minded. We find Lot's background in Genesis 13. He was afflicted with double vision —he had one eye on the heavenly city and one eye on Sodom. Genesis 13:10  says, "And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jo...

Devotion- Dust In Our Lives

DUST IN OUR LIVES I pray that this devotional can help you in your daily living. :) In this devotional, we picture dust in our house as sin in our lives.  When we become Christians, God makes our hearts pure and clean. After salvation, we have a choice: continue living for Christ or live for the world. Yes, we all know that everyone sins. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” What we make, is the choice of whether to sin and also how much we sin. When you are in His will and go to Him in prayer, He will help you with your thoughts, actions, situations, and many more things in your life. When we sin, we need to go to Jesus Christ and ask Him to forgive us. In 1 John 1:9, it tells us, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Jesus will always forgive us. Just because we know He will always forgive us doesn’t mean we keep sinning and just keep asking Him for forgiveness be...

Devotion: Part 2- What We Need To Wear To The War — Section 1

Part 2 Section 1: Do You Know Your Enemy? Grow Up. Wear All of the Armor. There are two sections to Part 2. Do You Know Your Enemy? Life is a battleground. The sooner you accept this truth, the easier it's going to be to win the battle. Satan is trying to destroy us because we are seated with Christ in the heavenlies. We have all the riches and resources of the resurrected Christ available to us. We are like the people of Israel when they moved into the Promised Land and claimed their victory. When the older generation died, the new generation forgot about God and lost their terri-tory. Why? They did not stand. Grow Up. The Christian life is a growth process. Before we can walk with Christ and run the race set before us (see Hebrews. 12:1), we must first learn how to stand Ephesians 6:11 tells us, "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." The word "wiles" can also be translated "methods" or "c...
